WHY SOY PROTEIN is used in bath and body products!
Soybean oil has a small molecular structure which enables it to go into the epidermis (top layer of your skin). Unlike other oils that sit on top of your skin, soy actually nestles into the cellular structure and stimulates the synthesis of collagen, elastin, and other proteins. It moisturizes and protects the cells without clogging them, and washes away easily unlike other oils. It's properties are important for cell growth and regeneration by reversing abnormal cell formations. Soy based skin care products even out skin tone and can correct pigmentation brought about by hormonal changes and damaging sun exposure.
Soy softens and smooths skin texture, and moisturizes too. The protein, amino acids, and lipids found in this wonderful bean allow for rapid hydration and cell regeneration.
Soy is naturally rich in Vitamin E, essential fatty acids and lecithin which benefit the skin when applied topically. Topical application of Vitamin E promotes healing and regeneration through it's antioxidant properties. Essential fatty acids help moisturize the collagen below the skin surface and lecithin helps maintain the elasticity of the skin, helping to smooth out fine lines and prevent premature aging. Soy contains phytoestrogens (plant estrogens), that help your skin cells rejuvenate. This type of estrogen will not go into your blood stream. Even though the molecular structure of soy is smaller than other oils, the soy cannot get into the blood stream due to the two skin layers of the epidermis.
